  • Xs will be placed on the ground around the hoop. The athlete will have 2:00 to make as many shots as possible. The one with the fastest time Wins the Gold!

Soccer - kick over pins to get the most points

  • 2 liter bottles will be placed in a formation on the ground. The athlete will be a certain distance from the pins depending on age. The goal is to kick over as many pins as possible. Each pin will be worth 1 point with a bonus pin worth 3 points.  If all pins get knocked over then an extra point is awarded. The athlete will get 5 shots to knock over as many pins as possible. The pins will be reset after every kick.

     Sailing - rain gutter regatta

  • There will be several boats to choose from. Place the boat in the rain gutter and when the whistle sounds then blow as hard as you can to get the boat to the other side. This event is all based on time. The best time wins. As you finish the event the leader board will be updated to show the current standings.

     Penta-throw
Points will be awarded for each of these events. The one with the highest total combined points wins the gold.

  • Javelin - TBD
  • Shot put - Points will be awarded for distance thrown. Instead of doing a straight measure of distance there will be point ranges marked on the field. Each athlete will get 3 throws to get as many points as possible. The throw must come from the shoulder and not thrown like a baseball.
  • Discus - Frisbees will be thrown to various targets. Targets of varying sizes will be on the field. Each target will have a point value associated with it.
  • Lawn darts - Targets will be placed on the field with point values associated with it. The closer to the target, the more points you get. This will test your accuracy.
  • Bean bag toss - Bean bags will be thrown at a target. The athlete will get 3 throws to get as many points as possible.

Group Events
     Basketball

  • Lightning - The objective of the game is to make shots in order to survive elimination and, in turn, eliminate other players. The basic rule of the game is if the trailing player makes a shot before the leading player, the leading player is eliminated. The winner of the game is the last remaining player.
  • The first player in line begins the game by taking an initial shot.
  • As soon as the first player has taken the initial shot, the second player may step up to the line and take his or her shot.
  • If a player's initial shot does not go in, he or she may rebound the basketball and attempt to make a basket from any location (most often, a layup would be attempted because it is an easier shot to make than a standard jump shot).
  • Once a player makes a basket, he or she must immediately pass the ball to the next player at the front of the line and then go to the end of the line. The player at the front of the line may take his or her shot immediately upon receiving a ball.
  • If any player does not make his or her shot before the person behind them, he or she is "knocked out" and is out until a new game starts.
  • The order of the players cannot change during the game except by shrinking in size as players are knocked out.
  • The game continues until everyone is knocked out except for one final player, who is deemed the winner
  • In the first round the top 2 players will move on to the next round. In subsequent rounds, only the top player in each continues on.
  • Each round will consist of 6-8 players.

     Soccer

  • Soccer will be played as normal for 5 minutes.
  • After the time has run out each player will get a shot on the goal.
  • Teams will be made up of 5 players each.
  • Team with the most points will move on the the next round until there is a winner.

     Volleyball

  • A beach ball will be used so athletes of all ages will be able to participate.
  • The ball must cross over the net after 3 hits.
  • If the ball hits the ground in bounds then the other team gets the point.
  • If the ball hits the ground out of bounds when hit over from the other side then your team gets the point.
  • First to team to 11 points wins the game.
  • The winner will move on to the next round until there is a winner.

Final Event

     Olympic golf

  • Olympic Golf is played in rounds, each round consists of all players tossing 3 bolas.
  • The oldest person will toss first.
  • The first player must toss all 3 bolas before the next player is able to toss his or her bolas. Bolas can be tossed in anyway the player chooses, as long as they are tossed individually and can be bounced off the ground. The winner of the round earns the first toss in the next round.
  • Games are played to an exact point total of 21.
  • In order to win, a player must be the only one to score exactly 21 points after the completion of a round.
  • If a player goes over the exact point total, that players points for that round do not count.
  • In the case of a tie, the players that tie will play as many overtime rounds as needed until one player ends a complete round 2 points ahead of the other player. The 2 point rule only applies in overtime rounds. During regular play any player can win as long as that player is the only one to score an exact total of 21 points at the end of that round no matter how many points the other players have.
  • Scoring:
  • After all teams have tossed all their bolas, scoring is determined by the bolas that are still hanging from the steps. Players can knock-off bolas during the course of the game.  In fact knocking-off other players' bolas is encouraged and a good way to play defensively. Bolas that are knocked off during play do not count as points. Only bolas that are left hanging after all bolas are tossed are counted as points.
  • Points:
  • Points are determined by which step your bola wraps around. The top step is worth 3 points the middle step is worth 2 points and the bottom step is only worth 1 point. Players can score an optional bonus of 1 point by hanging all 3 bolas from the same step or by hanging a bola on all 3 (1-2-3) steps in one round. The highest amount of points available per player is 10. This is accomplished by hanging all 3 bolas on the top (3 point) step.
  • Each round will be played by 2 players. The winner will move on to the next round until there is a winner. The final round will have 4 players to determine who gets the gold silver and bronze.
